E2 Forum: Tailored concept and strong partners
The E2 Forum Frankfurt is a conference and innovation forum for elevator and escalator technology. It takes place on 18 and 19 September 2018 (Tuesday and Wednesday) in Forum, Level 1 on the exhibition grounds Messe Frankfurt. Held every two years, it acts as a platform for technological and topical discourse between the elevator and escalator industry and the decision-makers in building management and intelligent building services technology.
Frankfurt am Main is the trade fair venue for intelligent building services technology. It hosts the leading trade fairs of Light + Building and ISH and so also enables exhibitors at the E2 Forum Frankfurt to reach those target groups involved especially in the planning and furbishing of modern buildings from the fields of architecture, technical building services planning, the housing industry, transport companies, airport operators together with technical experts from accredited inspection bodies.
Organised by Messe Frankfurt, the E2 Forum Frankfurt is supported by the German elevator and escalator trade association within VDMA (Association of German Machine and Plant Manufacturers) as an exclusive co-operating partner. Partnering the E2 Forum Frankfurt, the Elevators and Escalators Division of the VDMA strongly supports the innovative format for the sector to engage in an exchange of ideas across the industry spectrum with the decision-makers and trades involved in modern building services technology.
The E2 Forum Frankfurt’s conference format, together with the exhibition area, offers manufacturers and developers a cost-effective and easy to organise networking platform to showcase their conceptual solutions. The E2 Forum Frankfurt is within easy reach by train, plane or car for anyone interested in the sector from all regions of Germany, from Europe and from overseas.
The E2 Forum Frankfurt is organised by Messe Frankfurt with the support of the German Elevators and Escalators Division of the VDMA (Association of German Machine and Plant Manufacturers). The division is responsible for the contextual and conceptual form of the conference element. It represents approx. 90 per cent of the German market for lifts, escalators and moving pavements. There are currently 750,000 elevator systems installed in Germany, of which some 640,000 are for carrying people. For escalators, the current figure is around 36,000 installed units. Turnover in the sector, which employs approximately 17,000 people, amounts to more than two billion euros.
